Moser & Cie Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon brings together sophisticated watchmaking and a distinctly modern design. Its most striking feature is the unusual arrangement of its display, with the hours and minutes indicated on a slightly raised, domed dial at 12 o'clock, while a spectacular flying tourbillon occupies the lower half of the watch at 6 o'clock. This three-dimensional construction gives the watch a remarkable sense of depth and a particularly distinctive appearance. At the heart of the watch lies the automatic HMC 811 calibre, featuring a one-minute flying tourbillon equipped with a cylindrical hairspring. Inspired by historical marine chronometers, this unusual spring expands and contracts in a more uniform manner than a conventional flat hairspring, helping improve timekeeping precision. The movement can also be admired through the sapphire caseback, revealing the craftsmanship behind this impressive mechanism. Crafted in stainless steel and dating to 2022, the present example combines the technical sophistication of traditional high-end watchmaking with the more contemporary character of Moser's Pioneer collection.
