Lot Details

In their own words: " The Magraph was our first project with Raúl Pagès, and looking back, it remains one of my favorite Massena LAB limited editions and a turning point for our company. We hope that this example from the edition of 99 offered at Marteau & Co will go to a collector who will enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it." - William Massena, Founder and CEO Massena Lab. - Manufacturer: Massena Lab X Raul Pagès - Model name: Magraph - Functions: Hours, minutes, seconds - Year: 2023 - Case/movement : No.47/99 - Material: Stainless steel - Calibre: Hand-winding, M660 - Bracelet/Strap: Leather strap - Clasp/Buckle: stainless steel pin buckle - Dimensions: 38.5mm - Signed: Case, dial, movement and buckle signed - Accessories: Original presentation box & Certificate of authenticity What You Should Know: The Magraph brings together two distinctive voices in contemporary independent watchmaking: collector and industry veteran William Massena, whose Massena LAB has built a reputation for thoughtful collaborations inspired by vintage horology, and Swiss independent watchmaker Raúl Pagès, celebrated for his meticulous approach to traditional movement construction and finishing. Produced in a limited edition of just 99 pieces, the Magraph represents their first collaboration, combining Massena's appreciation for historical design with Pagès' technical expertise and artisanal sensibility. The watch takes inspiration from the elegant sector dials of the 1930s and 1940s, with a carefully balanced composition of contrasting finishes, finely printed scales and distinctive typography. Its restrained 38.5mm stainless steel case allows the dial to take centre stage, while the hand-wound M660 calibre provides an equally compelling attraction on the reverse. Developed with Pagès' involvement, the movement reflects a commitment to traditional mechanical watchmaking, offering a fitting counterpart to the vintage-inspired aesthetics of the dial. The present example, numbered 47 of 99, is accompanied by its original presentation box and certificate of authenticity. Particularly noteworthy is William Massena's own reflection on the project, describing the Magraph as both a personal favourite and a turning point for Massena LAB. With its considered proportions, distinctive dial design and connection to one of today's most respected independent watchmakers, the Magraph offers an appealing combination of historical inspiration and contemporary craftsmanship.
