Lot Details

What You Should Know: A bespoke example of Michiel Holthinrichs’ early Ornament, the present watch was commissioned in 2020, with its original owner later recalling that “the entire process was a joy.” Its 38mm 3D-printed stainless steel case is paired with a dial and movement galvanically finished in subtle 14k pale gold, while the manually wound Peseux 7001 was adjusted and hand-finished by Holthinrichs himself. Returning to the atelier in 2023 for a complete service and upgrades to its crown and caseback, the watch represents a rare early expression of the sculptural, highly artisanal approach that would come to define Holthinrichs’ work.
