What You Should Know: A bespoke Voutilainen Vingt-8 dating to 2020, the present watch is described in its certificate as having a hand-turned burgundy and grey dial, giving the otherwise classical design an unusually rich character. The personalisation continues to the case, with a prominent “K”—Kari Voutilainen’s initial—engraved on both the crown and caseback. The original owner also commissioned an additional grey dial, distinguished by “XIII” in place of the traditional “I”, which accompanies the watch and offers a distinctly personal alternative to its original configuration.
