What You Should Know: Marking the auction debut of the Zweigesicht-1, and indeed the first appearance at auction of a watch signed by Marco Lang under his own name, the present example offers a rare opportunity to discover the work of the celebrated German independent watchmaker. One of just 18 pieces, its ingenious double-sided construction pairs a traditional guilloché dial with an openworked view of the manually wound calibre ml-01. Cased in platinum and numbered 11 of 18, this example is further distinguished by a unique coat of arms and caduceus on the barrel bridge, alongside a skeletonised Roman numeral dial created exclusively for this watch.
