What You Should Know: A particularly striking expression of De Bethune’s ultra-thin DB28XP, the Steel Wheels Tourbillon combines an openworked titanium architecture with the manufacture’s extraordinary 30-second tourbillon, whose cage weighs just 0.18 grams and completes a full rotation every 30 seconds. The movement is built around De Bethune’s signature technical innovations, including its titanium balance, silicon escape wheel and five-day power reserve, while the microlight-finished titanium bridges create the sculptural, futuristic character for which the Steel Wheels is known. Numbered 07 of 25 and dating to 2023, the present example brings together some of De Bethune’s most distinctive technical and aesthetic signatures in an exceptionally lightweight titanium construction.
