What You Should Know: Introduced in 1990, the first-generation Communication was Andersen Genève’s first serially produced wristwatch and established the world-time complication as a defining part of Svend Andersen’s work. Inspired by the Louis Cottier worldtimers Andersen encountered during his years at Patek Philippe, it pairs a classical 24-hour world-time display with his own remarkably thin 0.9mm complication module, fitted over a self-winding Frédéric Piguet calibre. Cased in yellow gold with elegant teardrop lugs, the present watch represents the beginning of a world-time lineage that has remained central to Andersen Genève for more than three decades.
