Lot Details

What You Should Know: A unique Thomas Prescher Tempusvivendi, specially commissioned in 2009 and subsequently exhibited at BaselWorld in 2010. Measuring 43mm in solid 18k gold, the present watch departs from the collection’s signature retrograde displays in favour of traditional hour and minute hands, framed by an elaborate, hand-engraved scene of a golden tiger and dragon inspired by a Japanese tsuba. The movement and rotor are likewise engraved by Prescher himself, making this a particularly personal expression of the independent watchmaker’s craft.
