What You Should Know: One of just 11 examples of the OB-1 created by self-taught Czech independent watchmaker Ondřej Berkus, the present watch offers a particularly accessible expression of his unmistakably handmade approach. Measuring 38.5mm, its tonneau shaped case is 3D-printed in titanium, while the dial is formed from the exposed movement top plate, partially skeletonised at 6 o’clock and surrounded by an open-worked hour ring that extends around the seconds display. Inside is a heavily reworked, manually wound Unitas-based movement, modified and finished by Berkus himself, making this limited series a compelling distillation of his highly individual approach to independent watchmaking.
