Lot Details

A prototype of the first publicly available Kollokium Projekt 02B, representing the very first example of the brand’s latest—and possibly most accomplished—creation. As a prototype, it holds a particularly special place in the development of the series. Notably, the watch is offered to raise funds for the MIH (Musée International d’Horlogerie), supporting one of watchmaking’s most important cultural institutions. In their own words: "A prototype of the first publicly available kollokium Projekt 02 series, this timepiece features a nine-layer topographical dial composed of 67 individually hand-painted and hand-assembled dial plates. The 39mm seemingly monobloc die-cast steel case is topped by a sapphire glass box, allowing for a panoramic view of the three-dimensional dial. Marteau & Co. has been trusted with the first prototype of this highly anticipated series of 299 pieces, which will be unveiled on March 11 2026. The entirety of the proceeds from this sale will be donated to the Musée Internationale d’Horlogerie (MIH) in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. A place that’s close to the hearts of kollokium’s three founders, who have all spent considerable time throughout their careers in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the MIH stands as one of the most important independent and objective museums of horology. Nestled right in the cradle of Swiss watchmaking, the building itself is an outstanding concrete structure from the 1970’s that seamlessly blends in with the surroundings. The museum is currently undergoing extensive renovations both to the structure as well as the exhibitions, and is slated to reopen in Spring 2026. With this humble contribution, kollokium hopes to shine a light on the museum’s renovation endeavours and all it does to protect and transmit the passion and know-how of watchmaking in Switzerland and beyond." - Amr Sindi, co-founder of Kollokium.
