Lot Details

The Daniel Roth Perpetual Calendar Ref. C117 represents an extremely significant coming together of three forefathers of the independent watchmaking scene, Daniel Roth, Gerald Genta, and Philippe Dufour. Conceived in the early years of the brand, it pairs the classical perpetual calendar complication with Roth’s now-iconic double-ellipse case. Its movement, based on a Lemania ébauche with calendar module conceived by Genta, was extensively refined by Roth and Dufour, resulting in critical modifications to the calendar mechanism. The present example is particularly early, with case number 19, placing it among the first perpetual calendars produced by Daniel Roth.
