Lot Details

The Reference 2147 is among the early creations produced shortly after the brand’s founding, embodying the distinctive double-ellipse case and classical aesthetic that defined Roth’s independent work. The present example, cased in white gold, is an exceptionally rare configuration for the reference. Its dial features the clou de Paris guilloché pattern characteristic of watches from the first years of Daniel Roth’s production, a detail seldom encountered in this metal. Fewer than a dozen examples are believed to exist combining this case metal and dial configuration. Offered as a full set with its original box and certificate of origin, it represents a particularly scarce and well-preserved example of Roth’s early chronographs.
