Lot Details

The present Reference 2840 is a first-generation execution, among the earliest creations of Michel Parmigiani. Introduced during the formative years of the brand, the model reflects Parmigiani’s deep commitment to classical watchmaking and refined detail. Made in platinum and measuring 40mm, the Toric case gives the watch a strong and elegant presence on the wrist, while the dial reveals a wealth of carefully considered finishing. Rich in subtle craftsmanship and visual harmony, it remains one of the most celebrated designs among collectors of early Parmigiani Fleurier watches. In their own words: "With this creation, I wanted to highlight both its technical sophistication and the geometry of its construction, arranged along a 12 o’clock–6 o’clock axis of symmetry that enhances the tourbillon.” - by Michel Parmigiani, founder of Parmigiani Fleurier and watchmaker.
