The Audemars Piguet Starwheel is one of the manufacture’s most distinctive complications, inspired by the wandering hours displays of 17th-century night clocks. Instead of traditional hands, three rotating sapphire discs carry the hours across a curved minute scale, creating a display that is both playful and mechanically refined. Reinterpreted within the Code 11:59 collection, the complication is set against a deep blue aventurine dial evoking a starry sky. Blending historical inspiration with contemporary design, the Starwheel remains one of Audemars Piguet’s most original and collector-favoured creations.
