Lot Details

Urwerk have kindly offered a full and complimentary mechanical service on this Opus, following the auction, for the winning bidder. Number 10 of just 45 pieces, this pink gold Harry Winston Opus V is one of the most celebrated and collectible models from the Opus Series. Created in collaboration with Felix Baumgartner, it features Urwerk’s iconic satellite hour display and retrograde minutes. In Their Own Words: "We joined the Opus adventure almost by chance. During Baselworld 2003, representatives from Harry Winston wandered through the fair and eventually found themselves at the AHCI booth. At that time, we were presenting our UR-103 — authentic, unconventional, and unlike anything else on display. Word quickly spread that a young team was doing something daring, and soon our booth became a place of curiosity and excitement. Among those intrigued was Maximilian Büsser, then responsible for Harry Winston’s timepieces. Curious, he came to meet us personally. That encounter marked the true beginning of the Opus story for us. We were young, fearless, and driven by ambition. So when the opportunity came to become the next Opus creators — following our friend Vianney Halter and his Opus 3 — we were absolutely thrilled. The challenge was monumental: we had just one year to conceive, design, and develop an entirely original concept worthy of the Opus legacy. What followed was a period of intense creativity and innovation. We were determined not only to rise to the challenge but also to push boundaries further than ever before. The Opus project gave us the chance to channel our vision into a timepiece that was both bold and complex, embodying the spirit of URWERK while redefining the very idea of what a watch could be. Looking back, the Opus adventure was not simply a collaboration; it was a turning point — a defining chapter that shaped our future and established URWERK as a pioneer of independent watchmaking." - Felix Baumgartner, co-founder of Urwerk
