This workshop prototype of the SpaceOne × Baltic Seconde Majeure offers a rare glimpse into the development of one of the most talked-about watch collaborations of 2026. Created during the project's development phase, it preserves details that never made it into the final production watches released in May. Most notably, this example features a hand-executed graté dial finish that differs from both production versions. The dial and caseback have also been individually hand-engraved by independent watchmaker Théo Auffret, including the words "Prototype d'Atelier" and the address of the SpaceOne atelier. The Seconde Majeure combines SpaceOne's contemporary display architecture with Baltic's refined design language, powered by a jumping-hour complication module developed by Auffret. Together with its unique dial treatment and bespoke engravings, this prototype stands apart from the production series as a highly distinctive expression of the collaboration. Using the proceeds generated by this auction, a donation will be made to the Gustave Roussy Institute in support of pediatric cancer research, a cause championed by the makers of this watch.
